Amazing museum--the mosaics are a must see

点评：I echo others that this is a treasure of a museum. It's small but packed with information and geared to work at every level from young children to adults. There are recreated rooms, artifacts that can be examined (drawers with more to be explored). And extraordinary mosaics, including grade 1 forms from Roman Britain. They were so pristine I thought they were replicas. The pricing is also very reasonable (much less than similar museums). You can go through in under an hour or take your time. The nearby mosaic in the hypocaust as well as the park with the fragment of Roman wall are also worth seeing.
You can get there through the park or through the road, I suggest the latter for going and the former for the return (one familiar with it, it's easy to find).
While many go to St Albans for the magnificent cathedral, I view this as the must see of the visit.
