点评：Flawless from start to finish. Sumela arrived at our apartment in Sarande early, helped us with our bags, made sure we were comfortable, was very flexible on routes to our destinations and so much more. The two days before were filled with rain, thunder, and lightning so our anticipated route, the scenic meander up SH8, was expected to be unsafe and not scenic because of low cloud cover and visibility. Luckily and unexpectedly, the clouds lifted and the sun peaked out by the time we left Sarande, and Sumela's representive asked if we would like to return to our previous scenic plan. By that time, we had shifted plans, and he shifted right along with us. We ran a few errands in lovely Vlore, then continued on to Berat. All along the route he pointed out interesting features, towns, and taught us a great deal about the region, historically, politically, linguistically, and, in Berat, culinarily. He got us safely and comfortably from one point to another-- but there was so much more than just that. Not only did we have a lovely trip but we learned a ton and hope that we made a new friend.
