点评：Nizwa Souq is an absolute must visit if you want to experience the heart of Omani culture.The atmosphere is vibrant, with so much to see, smell, and experience, from spices and silver jewellery to traditional crafts and local produce.
What really stood out to me was the warmth of the people. The vendors and locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming, happy to chat, explain their goods, and share a little insight into their way of life. It never felt rushed or overly touristy, which made the experience even more special.
I visited on a Friday, when the traditional animal market takes place. While I did find parts of it a bit sad on a personal level, I understand that this is a long standing tradition and an important part of the local culture. It’s something I’m not familiar with, but I respect it fully. I do think it’s worth mentioning so that other visitors are aware and can decide what they’re comfortable with before they go.
