What a Amazing Trip at Shoemansdal Museum and Birding

点评：A Weekend Full of History, Natural Beauty, and Birdsong at Schoemansdal Museum and Veldskool
This past weekend at Schoemansdal Museum with Lourens Muller from Lourie Trips and Tours was truly an experience not to be missed! From the moment we arrived at the museum, I felt as if I was stepping back in time. Seeing the old artifacts that tell the story of the first settlement in the Soutpansberg, at Buysdorp, was incredible. You could almost see and hear the history coming to life – it was really wonderful.
But it wasn’t only about history – I also explored the birdlife during our birding sessions. I was lucky to see several amazing species that made the experience even more special, such as the Burchells Coucal , Namaqua Dove, White Browned Sparrow Weaver , and the striking Yellow-breasted Apalis. It was the perfect combination of history and nature – a weekend filled with learning, relaxation, and inspiration.
Thank you to Lourens Muller of Lourie Trips and Tours for the excellent guiding and for such a fun, insightful, and enjoyable experience. I can highly recommend it to anyone who loves both history and birds!
