点评：Our morning four-hour tour with Thunderbird Lodge Tours was, without question, the highlight of our visit to Chinle. If you are planning a trip to Canyon de Chelly, this experience is absolutely essential to understanding the profound beauty and history of the land.
We spent four hours winding through the canyon floor, where we were treated to stunning views of ancient ruins and remarkably preserved pictographs. Seeing these sites is one thing, but hearing the stories behind them brings the entire landscape to life in a way that a self-guided rim drive simply cannot match.
What truly elevated our experience from "great" to "unforgettable," however, was our guide, Benny.
Benny was raised right there in the canyon and has over 30 years of experience as a guide. His connection to the land isn't just professional—it’s deeply personal. Having him lead us felt like receiving a private introduction to a place he calls home. His depth of knowledge, patience, and perspective gave us a rare and respectful glimpse into the history and living culture of the canyon. It was a privilege to see the canyon through his eyes.
