90-minute wait for a frozen jacket potato

点评：We visited the Shoemakers Museum café on Bank Holiday Monday as a group of four adults and three children, including a one-year-old, and unfortunately the service was absolutely appalling.
The first meal arrived around 1 hour and 10 minutes after we ordered, with the rest of the food then coming out at different times. One of the simplest things we ordered was toast for our one-year-old, which took 1 hour and 20 minutes to arrive.
A jacket potato was brought out incorrectly twice before finally arriving correctly on the third attempt, around 1 hour and 30 minutes after ordering. When it did arrive, it was frozen in the middle.
There was also a side salad that never arrived at all.
The food that did eventually arrive correctly was actually nice, and the drinks were fine, which makes the experience even more frustrating. The problem was entirely the incredibly long waits and poor organisation.
We asked for a refund and explained that we were perfectly happy to pay for the drinks. However, we were only refunded for the toast, the missing side salad and the jacket potato. We still paid for the other meals despite waiting over an hour for them to arrive.
What makes this even more disappointing is that the museum was running a special Bank Holiday event, so you would expect the café to have planned appropriately for increased visitor numbers and ensured they had sufficient staffing and kitchen capacity.
Waiting over an hour for the first food to arrive, over an hour for toast for a one-year-old, and around an hour and a half for a frozen jacket potato is simply unacceptable.
Sadly, based on our experience, I would not recommend the café.
