Great cable car experience at Tegelberg

点评：This is the popular cable car which climbs 900 metres up Tegelberg mountain near Fussen. The cable car travels just over 2100 metres to the upper station are 1730 above sea level. Opening times are 9am to 5pm daily and you can purchase one-way or return tickets. At the upper station you will find a cafe as well as a handful of hiking trails including several that bring you back down to the lower station or near Neuschwanstein castle.
You'll find quite a large car park area near the lower station as well as a bus stop for regular and frequent service back into Fussen. Public toilets, a couple of eaters and bobsledding experience can be found here as well.
We very much enjoyed the cable car ride up the mountain, taking in views of the famous Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, medieval town of Fussen and surrounding lakes and countryside. It is a fun activity for those looking to spend time in nature and wanting to take in views from near the mountain top. We then hiked back down ot the lower station and enjoyed the 90 minute trek with its endless views. This was a great way to spend a few hours getting some exercise and enjoying the mountain environs around Fussen.
