点评：It is a 5 star because it is one of most incredible visual spectacles. The sun setting across the Aegean while the whitewashed Oia buildings change the colors as the sun goes down and then the evening lights come out. The blue hour after the sunset is the most magical and that is the time when most of the crowd leave ( thankfully). We witnessed the complete sunset that evening. I mean the last edge of the sun dipping bellow the horizon. I went to the best spot in Oia to capture the sunset. It is the castle but here is the kicker, to get the best spot, I reached there three hours before the sunset. I must admit that it was an overkill but at least a couple of hours before sunset is required if you want good photos and place your tripod. The castle gets incredibly crowded as the sun dips towards the horizon and so does the other vantage points along the streets of Oia.
If you arrive by car, set your GPS to The Sunset Parking lot. The castle is a 5 to 10 min walk. It is about 10 Euros for 5 hours and rather professionally managed.
