The sunset is nice, but church domes are not always blue!

点评：I only can say that the sunset in Oia in this time of year (spring) might be a little more beautiful than in Fira (from where we watched it) due to the simple fact that the sun in Fira goes down behind the other island, not into the sea, and it "spoils" the effect a bit. The guide books say you have to check on the angle before you choose the location. In any case, if you plan to come to Santorini all the way just for the sunset - I think it is a mistake: there are enough beautiful sunsets in any region of the world!
I think it's especially true for summer season, with all the crowds, though we discovered one upsetting thing: looks like during the off-season residents prepare and repaint many of those famous blue church domes, and they are just grey, so Nov-Mar you avoid the crowds, however, your pictures might not be like those postcards ((
