Great sunsets… but it comes at a cost.
伊亚落日观景点的点评
点评：Oía is picture perfect and the views and sunsets are exactly what it is famous for….. truly amazing how the hotels and houses cling to the caldera cliff face and it is unique.
However, expect massive queues for the sunset - we were here in April and no cruise ships in Fira and still soooo busy. I can’t imagine the queues in high season with +6 cruise liners in port.
Restaurants are expensive for what you get and drinks/wines/cocktails are priced high too.
I think 3-4 nights In Oía is a long enough visit as there is not a huge amount to do beyond that.
Worth getting the bus to Fira (2.20 euro each way and 25 mins) to see the caldera from a different side and also very busy streets.
If i was to come again I would say: Check dates to see if cruises ships are due in port (ideally choose when they are NOT!); book restaurants if you specifically want to eat somewhere; expect to spend +$100/head on a meal with wine in most places; It gets windy so make sure you have warm clothes too.
We did enjoy Oía, our hotel Andronis Luxury suites as first class (see separate review) and Catamaran cruise was amazing (see separate review) Great to have done it but I would not come back as no need
