点评：Ex Nihilo was not [unfortunately] on our initial list of vineyards to visit on this first visit to the Kelowna-Lake Country wine region in BC. However, it should have been and should be at the top of that list for you if you like big, bold red wines. We were actually informed about Ex Nihilo from a tasting room employee at a much lesser-quality cidery in another area of the region, and I really hesitated to take her high recommendation to heart. But, I'm so glad we added it to our itinerary. Overall, I was pretty blown away at nearly all of the wineries in the Okanagan Lake area. My group of friends are all from the USA and have fairly extensively traveled to the wine areas in northern, southern and central coast California as well as the Washington & Oregon regions. Nearly all of the wines tasted throughout this British Columbia area were equally as good, if not superior. In particular the big reds at Ex Nihilo were probably my favorite of all; Reserve Petit Verdot & Reserve Cab Franc were the standouts for me. Not only were the wines wonderful, but the staff we encountered were outstanding in their welcoming and knowledge of the wines and the winery itself. This is a super comfortable & pretty place to drink wine. On my next trip to BC I may just sit at Ex Nihilo all day long if they would allow it!
