点评：If you are looking for an idyllic autumn outing in Vermont that captures the magic of the season, spending an afternoon wandering a local dahlia farm should be at the very top of your list. At the entrance, you are handed a clean pair of snips and a bucket, setting you loose to wander row after row of breathtaking blooms framed by the turning fall foliage. The variety is astounding!
Bring the family! Children will be completely engrossed by the farm’s most dedicated workers: hundreds of gentle, clumsy bumblebees. The bees are so thoroughly engrossed in gathering late-season pollen that they pay no mind to visitors, offering kids a front-row seat to watch them happily bumbling from bloom to bloom. It turns a walk into an engaging, living nature lesson. My grandson went from plant to plant, exclaiming "Look Gramma! Bumblebee!"
