Great tour of a great castle by a moody Yorkshire man

点评：We arrived at Dunans small lay-by/carpark and I exited my car ( my wife was driving) and approached the other car anticipating this was our guide. his cordial Scots ( he was from Yorkshire) greeting was to point his stick and shout ‘park it properly’. I told him jokingly my wife was driving and that was the best he was getting. I did rearrange the car.
the tour started with some healthy and safety, no hellos or welcomes and continued in that vein until Gordon defrosted a little. Maybe it was the typically driech Scottish weather that dampened Gordon’s mood?
exclamations of ‘stay with the group’ abounded. my suggestion is slow down Gordon, people who have travelled the distance from Tulsa may want to soak up some atmosphere though he did try to soak most of it out of the morning.
As I said, once he mellowed a touch he was the most informative and knowledgeable man and gave great detail about the house and grounds.
Rusty for one was delighted by the day trip and tour.
all in all a wonderful tour slightly spoiled by a dour guide and his attitude toward visitors, he’s quite the sales prevention officer in my experience and from other reviews. The owner Charles and his communication/assistance are amazing.

就说拉斯特吧，他对这次一日游和参观活动简直乐不可支。总的来说，这是一次很棒的游览体验，只是被那位面无表情的导游以及他对游客的态度给稍微破坏了。以我的经历以及其他游客的评价来看，他简直就是个“阻止消费的专门人员”啊。而老板查尔斯本人以及他提供的沟通与帮助则非常出色。
