点评:Spent the day yesterday with a group of friends, some members and some not. Had a nice day, but as a user centred service designer my mind always works a bit different and I look at the users interactions and experience. I left feeling that It was nice, but I had a big overall question,.
Where is the spa smell?
I also thought, Where is the tranquil music? Why did I leave smelling like a floral old lady? Why did my skin feel itchy? Why is there no eucalyptus smell in the steam room? No aromatherapy in the mosaic spa bed room or saunas.
It's so weird! Then the actual spa pool with the water features in it smelt like faint eggs (drainage) at certain times when in it.
The only place that smelt nice was the reception.
Please look into it as people come to a spa to smell nice and have lovely spa like products. I don't want to leave a nice day, feeling I smell floral with a hint of egg drainage.
I recently went to Ramside hall and even in the pin bowling alley toilets, they had elemis and it smelt incredible.
It's those user interactions and touch points that make an experience. That's why so many shops and attractions now use smell pods. Disney hotels have been doing it for years.
If you are a top spa and don't smell like a spa, you play no spa music and have no spa vibe, the user is questioning, is this even a spa?
