The Views Are the Real Attraction
Kipoureon Monastery的点评
点评：We arrived a little too late to visit the monastery itself, as it was already closed, but the trip was still worthwhile for the setting alone.
Perched dramatically on the cliffs above the sea, the Monastery of Kipoureon enjoys one of the most impressive locations in Kefalonia. The combination of the rugged coastline, the endless blue of the Ionian Sea and the towering cliffs creates a truly beautiful landscape. There is a sense of peace and isolation here that makes you want to stay a little longer and simply take in the view.
While I wouldn’t describe it as an absolute must-see attraction, it is certainly a place worth stopping at if you are exploring the surrounding area . I can only imagine how spectacular the sunset must be from this spot, with the sun disappearing into the sea below the cliffs.
Even without entering the monastery, the views alone made the visit worthwhile.
