点评：We spent a wonderful day touring the Isle of Skye with Joe from South Skye Private Hire. From the very beginning, he was incredibly personable and helpful. He worked with us to plan an itinerary that matched our interests, set realistic expectations about what we could comfortably see in a day, and designed a route that made the most efficient use of our time without ever feeling rushed.
One thing we especially appreciated was that Joe communicates via WhatsApp. As visitors from the U.S., this made coordinating our tour easy and saved us from the expense and inconvenience of international phone calls. He was one of the few tour providers on the island to offer this, and it made the entire booking process much smoother.
Joe's knowledge of Skye is exceptional. Throughout the day, he shared fascinating stories about the island, its history, the villages, and local life, adding so much depth to the experience beyond simply visiting the sights.
Over the course of about eight hours, we explored some of Skye's most spectacular locations, including Sligachan, the Old Man of Storr, Portree, the Quiraing, making many short stops along the way and we finished at the Skye Museum of Island Life, which was a delightful way to end the day. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, and the itinerary flowed perfectly.
All in all, we enjoyed every single minute of our day with Joe. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and professional guide who truly knows Skye inside and out, we couldn't recommend South Skye Private Hire and notably Joe more highly.
