Disappointing experience due to unclear pricing and lack of communication

点评：I originally planned to book a round-trip ferry to Gili Trawangan through their official website. However, due to concerns about the weather, I contacted their office via WhatsApp. I shared the link to their official website with the staff and asked to proceed with the booking. The staff assisted me and stated that I could simply pay on-site at the port the next morning.
Unfortunately, upon checking my credit card statement a few days later, I found that I was charged significantly more than the official online prices:
Ferry tickets: Charged at 1,300,000 IDR per person (The website clearly stated 1,000,000 IDR per person).
Private transfer: Charged 100,000 IDR higher than the agreed online price.
Other fees: Additional unnotified charges were included in the total sum.
When I contacted them about this discrepancy, the staff claimed that on-site prices are different from online prices and that they have a price list in their office. However, this critical information was never communicated to me during our WhatsApp conversation when I explicitly referenced the online prices. Furthermore, I was never shown any price list before signing the receipt at the early morning check-in.
As a traveler with a flexible 3-week schedule, I would have easily booked online to get the official rate had I been informed of this massive price difference.
I strongly advise future travelers to book directly through their official website rather than messaging them. If you must pay on-site, make sure to double-check the exact numbers on your receipt before signing.
