点评：Our first visit to Babcock Winery...
The good:
The wine! Words don't do it justice.
Arturo... Great.
Rey... So nice.
Winemaker Bryan Babcock... Wise like the membership brochure says, "It's not just craft, it's wisdom."
As well as the cats and dog!
(Wisdom is the ability to use your knowledge and experience to make sound judgments and decisions, demonstrating good sense and insight. It goes beyond mere intelligence, encompassing the ability to understand and apply knowledge to real-life situations, often with a focus on ethical considerations and long-term consequences.)
The Bad:
Christina... Rude? Not so much... Condescending? Just a tad... Lacking knowledge of the Babcock wine she was pouring us... absolutely! FYI Christina, Spanish Springs Vineyard is in the San Luis Obispo Coast (SLO Coast) AVA 35°10'10.7"N 120°37'39.2"W NOT Santa Maria (Valley) AVA as you insisted!
Bottom line: We will not become wine club members because of the bad taste (pun intended) Christina left in our mouth. Would I purchase Babcock Wine if we were to find it on a restaurant wine list... Absolutely!
It's sad to encounter an employee who needs to find a job more suited to her passion... It's clearly not in front of the house in the wine industry.
