Enjoyable guided safari with Prasanna and Uncle Ajith

点评：We looked for a safari that would interact with wildlife in an ethical way, where we wouldn't be racing around or getting stuck in large groups of jeeps, and where we would learn something.
After talking to Prasanna, we decided to do a half day safari in Udawalawe with Uncle Ajith driving and Prasanna guiding. And we had a great time!
We had the opportunity to see elephants, jackals, monkeys, crocodiles, deer, terrapin, water buffalo and a wide array of birds. Prasanna speaks great English, explained everything for us and was happy to answer our weird questions. I appreciated his passion for birdwatching (and he was trying to catch some shots of hard-to-find birds with his massive telephoto lens). He also had two good pairs of binoculars which were very useful.
We were kept well-fed thanks to the excellent packed lunch and snacks made by Prasanna's mum. I think we saw a few other tourists looking a bit jealous as they walked past our picnic table.
He also organised our taxi transfer up from the south coast to Udawalawa and his chosen driver was friendly and safe.
All-in-all we had a great time and I felt the price was fair, with no surprises. Would recommend to everyone!
