Reading Rep Theatre的点评
点评：This is a lovely little venue and to my delight there are no bad seats or obscured views..Even in the very back row we felt close to the action.
The production (Educating Rita) was excellent quality all round. Lighting and stage were perfect and the acting was brilliant. The bar is well stocked, there are plenty of snacks available and the little beer garden outside was lovely, with strings of lights and lots of seating. The free car parking is a rarity in Reading and means I’d absolutely visit again.
Not so good? I note that the advertising says it’s 10 minutes walk from the Railway Station, but it’s not. It’s around half an hour walk. Given that they don’t admit latecomers, that sort of information needs to be accurate. The bench seats are quite hard and the disadvantage of being further back was that it took a lot longer to exit the theatre at the interval and at the end. If you’ve got any accessibility requirements, best to book the front rows.
It’s so good here and so nicely done that it would be unfair to give any less than 5 stars. Staff were friendly and efficient, toilets were clean, price was reasonable and booking was easy. It’s an excellent choice for an evening out.
