Home Of The Dalmatian Dog的点评
点评：This was a major disappointment.
We drove a long way specifically to visit the Home of Dalmatian and even brought our own Dalmatian with us. Before making the trip, we carefully checked the website, which states: “If you are coming with your own dog, please keep it on a leash at all times.” Any reasonable visitor would interpret this as meaning that dogs are welcome, provided they remain leashed.
Instead, we were greeted by a very unfriendly member of staff who instructed us to tie our dog outside at the entrance, where a dedicated waiting area has been set up, and leave him there alone for the entire visit. The explanation was that their own Dalmatians might not like another dog entering “their territory.”
The irony is hard to miss: a place dedicated to celebrating Dalmatians does not actually welcome well-behaved Dalmatians owned by visitors.
If outside dogs are not allowed inside the museum, that is entirely their right. However, this policy should be stated clearly and unambiguously on the website instead of implying the exact opposite. We would never have made the long journey had this been communicated honestly.
Clear information costs nothing. Wasting visitors’ time does.
