Serendipity turned out be a memorable experience
Trichy Birds Park的点评
点评：As we were about to reach our hotel at Trichy, the gateway arch of Trichy Birds Park caught my attention and I took the next turn towards and returned to enter the Park.
It was a Saturday and whole lot of school children had queued up outside under the supervision of teachers.
Ample parking space was available. We parked and headed to buy tickets. They charge full price of ₹ 200 per head for any children above 120 cm. The price was more than justified .
As we entered, we found ourselves in a wonderfully organized and curated collection of birds of a large number of unique varieties from all over the world.
There were no mundane and common species which you might have seen elsewhere.
The first encounter of feeding the ostriches really got things started on the right foot. Birds are very well trained but do be careful that you offer only the leaves while holding the stem away from the mouth.
Then came so many varieties of pheasants , macaw , ducks, geese and even a whole section on reptiles.
The aquarium was a sight to behold with the likes of jellyfish, starfish and many others which you wouldn’t encounter otherwise.
The final leg of the aviary was a wonderful experience with the feeding of the birds who were so well trained that they could eat off the palm of my hand absolutely safely.
This was a wonderful surprise discovery and I would recommend it as a must visit for all visiting Trichy.
