Trichy Birds Park的点评
点评：This was a wonderful surprise! I honestly didn't have much expectation before visiting, but ended up really enjoying the experience.
Go early: The park opens at 9 AM. My suggestion is to reach by around 8:50 AM. There are fewer people, and everyone—including the birds—is fresh and excited to see you! By around 10 AM, it was already getting quite hot.
You can comfortably cover the park in around one hour if you are not using the VR theatre or spending time at the café.
The experience: Save your ticket because you will need it again later inside the park.
First, you are given palak to feed the emus. If you are there early in the morning, be prepared—they may very happily snatch your offering!
After that come various kinds of caged birds, followed by the aquarium, which I found really impressive.
Then you reach the main bird area. After cleaning your hands and shoes, the staff check your ticket and give you seeds for feeding the birds.
Important tip: Ration those seeds till the end!
This is the best part of the experience. It is an open area where many birds fly freely around you. They will come and sit on your hands and even your head, happily taking seeds directly from your palm. It was a really enjoyable and interactive experience.
The park is still under construction, with what looked like some water-based areas being added, but the bird experience itself was already very good.
A few practical tips:
- Wear light, comfortable clothes and a hat. Full sleeves can be useful, though not essential.
- Good shoes are important. There is quite a bit of walking, and you need to clean the soles of your shoes twice by walking through shallow clean-water beds.
- Outside food is not allowed.
- Entry was ₹200 when we visited, with no additional camera fee. Of course, prices and rules can change.
- There is a baggage counter and plenty of parking.
- Washrooms and a lactation room are available inside.
- Staff were polite and helpful. Some could communicate in basic English.
Overall, this was a very pleasant surprise and, for me, a must-visit in Trichy.
The one thing I would change is the opening time. If the park could open even an hour earlier, I think it would be much more comfortable for both the birds and the humans, especially considering the heat.
