Traditional Farm in Sifnos is more than meets the eye

点评：We joined another family who recommended Loumidis Farm as a fun activity to do with children in Sifnos. It did not disappoint! The children had a wonderful time meeting the baby rabbits, feeding the chickens, milking the goats and gathering eggs. I enjoyed spending time with Yannis and learning about his farm, which has been operating for a few hundred years! He is keeping on the traditions of his ancestors, working his land with little intervention, the entire farm works in symbiosis with itself, from bug to seed, hoof to weed. One cannot overlook the fact that encroaching development is threatening this way of life and thus a clash of realities is present. I urge anyone visiting Sifnos to travel responsibly, meet the people that live here and support this disappearing way of life. Preferably at Yannis table, with homemade cheeses, wine and caper salad!
