Incredible Experience on the Lower Manaslu Trek with Local Experts

点评：I recently completed a 7-day Lower Manaslu Trek with my 10-year-old brother, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The trek was organized from Kathmandu by Touch The Himalaya (Madan), and we were guided by Moti from Manaslu Guides Nepal, who picked us up in Arkhet Bazaar.
Unlike the regular Manaslu Circuit, we followed a completely different and less-traveled route, which gave us a deeper glimpse into the authentic countryside and culture of Nepal. On the first night, we stayed at Moti’s home in the charming village of Lapudanda, where we spent two nights. This gave us the unique opportunity to experience the warm hospitality, culture, and daily life of a typical Nepali village.
From Lapudanda, we trekked through beautiful and peaceful trails, passing through Yarsha Village, Kasigaun, and Kerauja. These upper-route villages offered stunning views and meaningful interactions with local people. After reaching Kerauja, we briefly joined the main Manaslu trail but stayed outside the restricted zone, which meant we didn’t need special permits.
For our return, we took a different scenic trail through the iconic villages of Laprak and Barpak—both rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage.
This trek far exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect blend of nature, culture, and local life, and it was especially suitable for families or those looking for an off-the-beaten-path adventure. I highly recommend the Lower Manaslu Trek to anyone who wants to see the real Nepal. Choosing a company like Touch The Himalaya, which works with native guides like Moti from the Manaslu region, made all the difference.
