I had an incredible experience learning pottery at NISO Pottery, a beautiful and calming studio located close to Benaulim Beach in South Goa. I had been planning to leave my corporate job for a long time to build a career as a potter, and choosing NISO Pottery felt like the perfect first step. I was drawn not only to their work but also to Nikita’s inspiring journey—from a high-powered corporate career to establishing herself as a successful studio potter.
The two-month programme is meticulously structured and reflects Nikita’s thoughtful and professional approach. It is rare to find artists who can pass on their knowledge with such clarity and precision, and the way the curriculum is designed truly stands out. The entire team is highly skilled, patient, and encouraging.
The programme taught me far more than just the technical aspects of pottery and different forms—it helped shift my mindset and gave me the confidence to believe that I can become a full-time potter with my own signature style. Spending two months in South Goa, living by the beach, working with clay for hours, and meeting people from diverse cultures and professions gave me a completely new perspective on life.
