点评:We have given this hotel a 5 rating but queuing was a particular problem and a disappointment.
However, we were impressed with the woodland drive to the hotel. However, that was soon to be the first disappointment when we had to join a 20 minute queue, in order to be checked-in , before reaching the actual hotel.
On checking-in we were impressed with the interior and modern design of the hotel.
Our bedroom, 321, was good, modern and quite luxurious.
The bathroom had a walk-in shower and a bath.
The bed was comfy but pillows were not our liking.
After unpacking we went to one of the bars and later we went for dinner at the The Market Place / Orangery but were not impressed with the long queue of hotel guests, even though we had a booking time slot!
We're thinking to ourselves is this going to be a 2 night stay of constant queuing!
Another disappointed was that it was a buffet but starters and desserts were served to the table.
All of the food was very good, no complaints.
The entertainment was also very good.
The remainder of our stay was very good.
One evening we went on a 'lantern' walk through the grounds which was lovely, followed by singing carols around a piano in the Mansion House.
If the management can sort out queuing, this place would be a great venue, especially as the grounds and buildings are terrific.
