Gathland State Park的点评
点评：Gathland State Park is a beautiful and fascinating stop, especially if you enjoy Civil War history. The War Correspondents Memorial Arch is impressive. The historic grounds and Appalachian Trail access make it a great place to explore and learn about the area's rich past.
My only warning: the gnats were INSANE. Not just annoying, but absolutely relentless. We were constantly swatting them away and ended up cutting our visit short because they were so bad. I had to use my phone to find one gnat that was lodged in my eye ball socket, this is while I was wearing sunglasses that it had found its way in. 😅
If you can tolerate the bugs (or come prepared with bug spray), it's well worth a visit for the history, scenery, and unique connection to both the Civil War and war correspondents. Just don't underestimate the gnats! 🪰🏛️🌳
