The very beginning and the ending with Diego

点评：Our first day in Costa Rica, we hadn’t arranged for a shuttle or ride from Liberia to Potrero. Within an hour of contacting Diego last minute we were on our way at a reasonable rate. Little did we know it would be more like a tour than a ride. Diego filled our heads with possibilities and knowledge of this awesome country. He also took the shortcut by taking 911 also known as the Monkey Trail, twists and turns, potholes, river crossing elevation changes and Beautiful scenery. Amazing ride. During the ride Diego gave us some of his and his families history and descriptions of his farm and what it produced. He also explained that he was doing tours and excursions and described some waterfall tours and volcano tours and so on.
A few days before our trip ended we decided on a waterfall and tubing tour, we contacted Diego and he gave us the best day of our trip. He guided us up to La Leona waterfalls with tubing the Colorado river and a home cooked lunch. This tour was amazing, from wildlife like white faced Monkeys, bats and owl, to incredible scenery and swimming in the falls and other amazing features of caves and rapids and literally a natural shower. Beautiful.
Shortly after the falls we had a tubing excursion through rapids and calmer areas for about an hour long ride, way to much fun, and the scenery and surroundings were incredible.
Shortly after the tubing we were on our way back to Diego’s family farm for a delicious home cooked meal provided by his Mom and 90 year old Grandma, awesome food and even better people. Thank You for such an Awesome day Amigo.
