点评：For as nice as the rest of the park was, this place was an over-crowded mess. For one, parking is not sufficient for the visitors, at least on the day I went. The gift shop was so crowded I could barely walk through it. Isn't that a fire hazard? As unpalatable as it sounds, there needs to be a way to limit the people inside at any one time. Unfortunatley this is the only place along the rim to find food and souvenirs.
Upstairs from the gift shop, there were a couple of rangers with information on the park. They are a bit hidden, but were quite friendly and helpful. Outside the lodge are some overlooks, but again a lot of people were sitting on the wall having picnics, blocking the sidewalks, and making it difficult to get by.
Unless you need to, I'd bypass this spot and stop at any of the other overlooks around the rim. Also, if you park down by Crater Lake Lodge (assuming any open spots), the overlooks in that area a much less crowded.
