点评：An excellent tour. Elea's knowledge of the history, architecture and culture of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon is precise and large. We joined a two-hour of the town of Saint-Pierre.
We had several days in Saint-Pierre before we took the tour, so Elea helped us to complete several gaps in our knowledge. Above all, we learned about the hard life of the inhabitants in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and how Prohibition was a positive force for the islands, leading to prosperity and infrastructure such as the excellent breakwater giving Saint-Pierre a year-round harbour.
We also learned that we missed (by two days) a major celebration on June 21, the Mass of the Mariners, when every boat in the harbour is blessed by the priest and there is a remembrance of the missing and disappeared sailors of past shipwrecks.
