An afternoon of fine wine, delicious food, and great hospitality

点评：We were at the Fugolo winery for a wine harvest event recently and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The event lasted about 3 hours during which we were first led on a tour of the winery and learned the history about the family run winery and the different grapes grown on the estate.
Harvesting the grapes came next followed by wait for it, actually stumping the grapes we harvested in a bucket, which was definitely something to be tried.
We then proceeded to wine tasting accompanied by an assortment of very tasty salumi in a beautiful tasting room overlooking the vineyard. We sampled 3 white and 3 red wine, including the precious Amarone wine, all with generous pours. The Amarone lived up to its reputation, but the other lower priced red also had a lot of character and were absolutely delicious.
We finished the day with a delightful picnic under the shade in the field between rows of grapes, with of course more wine.
Everyone on the estate couldn't have been more friendly and helpful to make our visit most enjoyable. What a gem!
