点评:Skaros Rock is a striking rock formation that protrudes out into the sea just west of the town of Imerovigli. It was the location of a Venetian fortress from the Middle Ages that was destroyed in an earthquake, but the ruins are still visible. It makes for a great hiking opportunity when visiting Santorini. I included this 1-mile hike to Skaros Rock during my morning hike from Fira to Oia and it was well worth it. It was arguably the highlight of the entire hike. I got started early not long after sunrise and was able to avoid the crowds. This hike is pretty rugged but only mildly strenuous. Great views up and down the coastline of Santorini including across to Oia and of the surrounding caldera. There is a charming small church at the end of the trail and from here I was able to return on a different path.
