点评：Having known Mohammed's family for many years, it was a genuine pleasure to get to know him better and have him as my guide as he took me through the spectacular landscapes of Faynan, Petra, Shobak and Dana last weekend.
What makes Mohammed such a rewarding guide is that he shares places he genuinely knows. His knowledge comes from a deep connection to the landscape and its communities, and travelling with him offered many insights that would have been difficult to gain independently. Having grown up living in a Bedouin tent and wandering this landscape, he brings a perspective that is deeply rooted in place.
I have spent many years studying the history, culture and environment of this region, yet I still learned a great deal from our conversations and time together. The geology, natural environment and archaeology of southern Jordan are extraordinary, and Mohammed's knowledge added depth and context throughout the journey.
For anyone interested in exploring this remarkable part of Jordan, I would warmly recommend Mohammed. He is a professionally certified guide and specialist in the Dana to Petra section of the Jordan Trail, but also knows other parts of the trail and southern Jordan extremely well.
