点评:I’ve done quite a few cooking classes during my travels, and this was hands down my favourite cooking class experience.
The day started with a visit to a local market, where we sampled a variety of foods and ingredients. The produce was incredibly fresh and high quality, and Lanna, our teacher, shared fascinating details about the ingredients, what locals typically eat, and what’s currently in season.
The cooking class itself was fantastic and very hands on. Lanna encouraged everyone to taste and adjust each dish to suit their own preferences while also teaching the key principles behind Thai cooking. We made mango salad, Khao Soi, Pad Thai, and mango sticky rice, and everything was delicious.
Lanna was an amazing host and teacher. She made us feel so welcome in her family home and farm, and brought such a fun and relaxed energy to the class. If you’re looking for a cooking class that’s interactive rather than demonstration-based, and you want to leave having genuinely learned a lot, I can’t recommend this experience highly enough.
