点评：By chance, I wandered into this bookstore when it opened in mid December 2024 and have been a fan ever since. It’s the first bookstore devoted to romance in the Boston area and has now won several awards (Best of Boston 2025, 2026, and Boston Business Women’s Award for Best Bookstore 2025).
Every kind of romance story imaginable can be found on the shelves. There’s also general fiction, young adult titles, and a children’s section. In addition, a good selection of related merchandise is available.
The cozy bar/cafe area has been under renovation this August and is due to reopen in a few days. During previous visits when the cafe was crowded, I always met interesting people. One time, a couple from Vermont on a day trip to Cambridge, shared their table with me. It was a pleasure to speak with them.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and also help with the many author and special events. I’m looking forward to the annual “Practical Magic” celebration in October.
During my visit earlier this week, I was surprised to see a special exhibit, “Holding the Moment: the Romance Cover Art of Elaine Gignilliat.” I looked her up online and was astonished at the passionate life she had lived! She could have written her own romance novel.
This bookstore is a gem; recommended with pleasure!

这家书店真是个宝藏之地，强烈推荐给大家！
