点评:We are so honored to have the opportunity to spend time and learn to cook the French way from Natacha! The class takes place in her beautiful home. It was so interesting to see her herb garden, and to spend time in a home in France, as opposed to being in hotels and tourist areas. She asked what we were interested in cooking, and for us, we were open to whatever she thought was best. We are very basic cooks, so she suggested an easy recipe with an appetizer of a sort of cheese ball, chicken and wine/cream sauce, and crêpe Suzette’s. She shopped at local markets in advance and purchased some beautiful farm fresh chicken, gourmet goat cheeses from the area, and produce. We learned how to prepare mushrooms so that they actually brown when cooked! The chicken was similar to Coq Au Vin substituting chicken instead of rooster. They use very little salt and French cooking, and rely on the reduction of sources for pure flavor. It seems like something I can actually reproduce at home! We truly enjoyed sitting down and having our meal together with Natacha and getting to know her better. It was one of our favorite experiences in the Loire Valley. Thank you again, Natacha!
