Highlight of our trip to Umbria

点评：From the very beginning, communication with Emmanuel was easy, clear, and welcoming. We decided to stay overnight in one of his cottages, and we are so glad we did!
Our stay was truly magical. Staying in an old castle, breathing the fresh Umbrian air, and waking up to incredible countryside views made the experience feel like something out of a storybook.
The truffle hunt itself was the highlight of our day. We were joined by two other couples, and Carlo, Emmanuel’s uncle, took us into the woods with his two precious truffle dogs. In about 45 minutes, we were incredibly lucky to find 14 beautiful, perfect truffles! Watching the dogs work was such a joy — they are clearly treated with so much love and affection, and they were absolutely thrilled to be doing their job.
After the hunt, we returned to Emmanuel’s place for an incredible, authentic dinner — and, of course, our freshly harvested truffles were part of the meal! We all sat together on the patio, enjoying wonderful food, wine, conversation, laughter, and stories of our travels.
I was looking for an authentic truffle-hunting experience when planning our trip to Umbria, but this day went far beyond my expectations. It wasn’t just a truffle hunt; it was a beautiful experience of food, family, hospitality, nature, and the genuine warmth of Umbria.
If you are visiting Umbria, the land of truffles, I highly recommend this experience. It was one of the most memorable days of our trip!
