Hammamet old Medina - you will not be disappointed
Old Medina Hammamet的点评
点评：Don’t be put off by the reports of aggressive haggling; we had a lovely morning ambling through the old Medina and the Kasbah. Yes, the merchants are very keen to invite you into their shops and try to make sales but, we found them to be good humoured and relaxed and did not feel overly pressured or intimidated.
My top tips for visiting the Medina are:
1. Ask your taxi to drop you off at the Echalma Theatre. This entrance is much quieter and hassle free.
2. Definitely visit the Old Fortress. The entrance fee is 8 Dinar per person and worth it just for the very nice toilets inside. It also has great views from the walls and a highly recommended cafe in one of the corners - Drinks only but very good coffee.
Upon leaving the Medina, there is a great selection of restaurants available. We visited the Belle Vue and had a very nice, freshly prepared meal, desserts and drinks for 140 Dinars (including the tip).
If you are staying in the Hammamet area, this is definitely worth a visit.
