点评：A fantastic family-run vineyard experience in Afytos
We visited Afytaion Gaia Vineyard during our holiday in Afytos and would 100% recommend the experience.
The vineyard is owned and managed by the family, with everyone involved in the business. Their passion and enthusiasm for the vineyard and the wines they produce really comes across throughout the tour and is what makes the visit feel so special and personal.
The process of producing their high-quality wines is explained in detail, from the vineyard through to the finished bottle, and we found this really interesting.
Then came the sampling! We tasted 2 white wines, 2 rosé and 2 red wines. Each wine was carefully explained, including the flavours and characteristics to look out for as you tasted it. A lovely charcuterie board was served alongside the wines, followed by some additional homemade nibbles which complemented the tasting perfectly.
This is definitely an experience not to miss if you are staying in Afytos. A unique, passionate and genuinely family-run vineyard producing excellent wines, only around 10 minutes from the centre of Afytos.
