点评:What an amazing find at the outskirts of Rabat! My plan was to take a Bolt to visit the Tax-Xiefra Museum first thing in the morning then walk into Rabat and Mdina and take a Bolt back to my apt in Sliema. I was the first visitor that morning and was greeted by Josette who was a most gracious host. She introduced me to the local baker who was making deliveries that morning. She explained the museum and how its founder build it himself as a tribute to farming using the old ways. I was blown away by the quality of the displays and the variety of tools and implements. But not only that there were working water effects that showed how water was gathered and used in farming. It is a good place to start a tour of Rabat near where the farms and city meet. Like many places in Malta this small, well-designed museum is a hidden gem. Definitely, Tax-Xierfa Museum should be part of a day touring the rich history of Rabat and Mdina.
