点评:We really enjoyed this cooking class in Sri Lanka. During the lesson, we cooked a chicken curry, several vegetables, a local salad, and egg kottu. They were very flexible and happy to tailor the class to our interests. Since we were particularly keen to learn how kottu is prepared, they adjusted the menu so we could learn that as well.
The class was held in their home, using an open kitchen on the terrace, which created a very authentic and welcoming atmosphere. It was a great opportunity to learn more about Sri Lankan spices, traditional cooking methods, and the care that goes into each dish. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all our questions, and made us feel comfortable from start to finish.
Dietary preferences or restrictions can be shared in advance, and the menu will be adapted without any issue. The timing was also very flexible, which kept the whole experience relaxed and stress-free.
All in all it was a unique dinner to us. I’m excited to try the recipes at home and love that they’re open to being contacted again if questions come up later.
