点评:We did this cooking class as a group of 4 and paid $77 each. Although Maria was lovely the cooking class was not worth the money or was what we were expecting. Maria was 30 mins late to pick us up in a taxi and we went to the local market- this was the highlight of the trip as it was interesting to see the local foods and spices. Maria bought some ingredients. However we then had to wait for her to call another car which took us back to her kitchen. The class itself was disappointing, it was a tiny kitchen and hot living room area with a wooden table. She appeared to only have one chopping board as we had to share it around to chop basics like carrots, shallots and garlic. A lot of the spices she used were from packets and not fresh like at the markets. Because of this spring rolls and some frittas (that we didn’t ask to make) took around 2 hours and she hadn’t taken chicken out of the freezer for a dish we wanted to make. We then asked to make the Nasi goreng (which we had pre chosen) once we realised we needed to wait for the chicken to defrost and she had to go out to get some rice to make it. You don’t get a recipe book at the end you need to take photos of her book if you want anything. Definitely not worth $77, we cut our session short and wished we had just done our hotel class.
