点评:The aquarium was amazing! I loved it!
The boat trip however was horrifying…
Upon booking we were told it was a “little choppy” which is no problem and i took 2 travel sick pills just in case. We arrived at the port and got aboard the boat. Again we were reminded it was a little choppy. It was myself and my sister with a few other passengers. Certainly not a full boat. The boat was swaying in the harbour which i would class as ‘a little choppy’ and i was fine with this. However, after sailing from the harbour toward the ocean we found that ‘a little choppy’ was an extreme understatement. It was horrifying. Waves crashed over the sides of the boat soaking everyone on board and it was a terrifying experience. We arrived at a point where we were due to watch the fish being fed. Myself and my sister both went under the boat into the submarine area, my hope was that it would feel less rocky. All i saw under the boat was waves crashing. I was however only there for approx 30 seconds…long enough to overdose on travel sick tablets. I went back up top leaving my sister below deck. We began to make the horrific journey back and again the waves were so high crashing over the boat and soaking everyone that i began to fear for my life. I closed my eyes and hoped for the best. My sister rejoined us from below deck and almost fell overboard, thankfully a man grabbed her and she stumbled onto another passenger. I truly feel that he saved her. Children were crying. Everyone was clinging onto whatever they could hold all the while being soaked. I clung so tightly to a pole that my hands and arms hurt afterwards. Upon arriving back at the harbour the captain stated that he was sorry and that he had informed the aquarium that it was not safe to sail but they had ignored him and refused to cancel the boat trip that afternoon. The passengers trauma bonded and we all had a chat afterwards. I have emailed the aquarium about this and requested a refund but have not received any form of response or acknowledgment even after 1 month later. I recommend a visit to the aquarium but avoid the boat trip if you have any value for your life.
