点评：The site of ancient Amphipolis is scattered over a large area. The best thing is to scan the QR code in the museum and let your phone guide you with directions and audio tour. We chose the Akropolis first and were from museum to the site within 2 to 3 minutes. There is no entrance fee, that is only applicable to the museum (10 euro pp) The Akropolis site is big and when it is warm (32 when we were there) quite a challenge if you want to see all of it. I think we saw the best part of it and that took us about one and a half hours. One the highest point there was a welcome breeze. As a second stop we wanted to see the Roman Aquaduct but the road towards it, was a narrow dirt road and that scared us of. The other option was the Lion Monument, the Sat Nav tried us to direct along the fence of the Akropolis site, but again a narrow dirt road, we drove in opposite direction back to the village and drove on a “decent” road. Nice Lion Monument but a truly impressive and huge reconstruction, please see for your self.
