点评:I was in Noboribetsu and saw this advertisement in a couple of places. I've been to Japan several times but most of my interests usually recover around more recent Japanese culture so I thought it would be interesting to check this out.
Of course it's touristy, it is an amusement park after all but it's a beautiful recreation of a village during the Edo period. The ticket includes three live shows which are fun to watch and several amusements directed at children. I ended up spending 3.5 hours here. I did enjoy the live shows, I thought they were well done for what they were. They are campy because that was the style of Edo period shows.
If you're looking for something different to do, the ticket price isn't very expensive for what you get. There is a bus that takes you here, I walked from my ryokan.
My favorite was the ninja show and the dango shop because I love mochi. It was also snowing the day that I went so it felt like I was in a Kdrama.
