慕田峪长城的点评
点评：It was Spring Festival vacation and we were bored. We weren't going away for the break and found a plethora of things to do. Now, you DO NOT want to visit during actual Spring Festival—you'll be packed in worse than sardines in an undersized can. But if you visit before or after Spring Festival and during a weekday, you'll be okay.
We had also realized that we ourselves had been to Mutianyu many times, but we had never brought our daughter. So we took a family trip.
There was nothing out of the ordinary, but this place is extraordinary already, so we just relished in the family time.
If you have never tried the toboggan down, it is a total highlight—and if you have kids, it's a must! In fact, the cable car up and toboggan down were all my kids talked about the entire evening. It was the source of their drawings all week.
The cable car and toboggan rides are pretty much more expensive than the entry tickets, but altogether it's still very inexpensive for visiting a World Heritage Site, right?
