Small but fascinating holocaust museum, outstanding and dealing with medical experimentation on Jewish twins during WWII
Candles Holocaust Museum的点评
点评:CANDLES is an acronym for "Children of Auschwitz Nazi Deadly Lab Experiments Survivors." The founder, Eva Mozes Kor, was imprisoned at Auschwitz. She and her twin sister Miriam were subjected to brutal medical experimentation by the infamous Dr. Josef Mengele. There is a short film to see, and a unique interactive feature where you can ask a question to a screen image of Eva Kors, and she issues a response based on about 1,500 questions she fielded for this exhibit. It actually works moderately well. Then, on the other side of the building there is a lot of information on her family and the numerous restrictions placed on Jews by the Nazi. Mengele is discussed to some extent. This is not by any means comprehensive, but I feel it actually works well and provides good information for someone learning about the Holocaust. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this museum! Prices are very reasonable, 7-8 dollars.
