点评:This garden is a wonderful place to visit, particularly at this time of year. Sadly if you visit the tea room be prepared to be served your hot tea or coffee not from traditional china but truly ugly modular cups made from plastic or perhaps plant based material. When asked one of the more mature workers went to some lengths to politely explain the rationale behind the change. Unfortunately she wasn't convincing. It seems that given the terrible burden of paying a living wage the management can't afford to pay anyone to wash the dishes. Very sad because whilst ugly modular cups may be ok for a train station take away kiosk a country garden tearoom is surely a different matter entirely. Apparently 'young visitors don't mind the use of said cups as they are used to take away culture'. On the whole however the demographic of places like Coton is older, for better or worse, so we might then assume that we are mostly given Hobsons choice in a sort of like it or lump spirit. If I visit again I won't be using the cafe. It's not cool, it's not classy, it's not worth the money.
