Rousay Tours的点评
点评：if you’re looking for a tour that can take you in depth into the archaeology on Rousay, Martin is your man!
He provided charts and even allowed my father to take one home that showed the timeline of all the archaeology on the island. His love of his island makes him be an excellent guide and by the time we were done visiting, we loved it too.
On a sidenote, he even provided for us fresh cappuccinos that he made out out of the back of his car which we enjoyed with a picnic overlooking the beautiful water around the island.
We hike down, and we saw the tombs and the Broch… the ability to actually go into these amazing sites with Martin as he step-by-step, walked us through what they know, what they don’t know, and what one day they hoped to know was priceless
our final stop was to a very small tomb on the hill which we were able to go down into and really imagine that we were thousands of years in the past.
We came out to Orkney to look at Lerwick and decided to also come to Rousay last minute, and it absolutely was one of our favorite trips!
PS. Martin was so prepared to even had walking sticks for us. We didn’t know we needed them until we knew we needed them! Thank you, Martin for making an amazing memory.
